- I am having a small problem with my 33.6k sportster internal. It seems
- that the darn thing will answer the phone sometimes when I try to make an
- outgoing call on the same line. Any answers? I guess it senses a ring
- when I dial someone by voice. I will dial and when I get hear the ring
- on my reciever, the modem "somehow" answers the line and starts it's
- initialization procedure. I have tried to move the phone from plugging it
- in to the back of the modem to using it on another jack at the other end of
- my house. I have two lines and I am using the modem on the dedicated modem
- line so anything else shouldn't be the problem.
-
- Also, I was wondering how on earth I can activate my MNP5 compression.
- On a regular basis, I download text/binary files and the MNP5 compression
- works better than any others. Thanks!
-
- Sincerly,
